I’ve known Jeff Cochran since 2005 when I got a call to go and meet him and Donny at the behest of Michael Lichter. Lichter was shooting some of their bikes for Easyriders. They had decided to make a line of affordable production custom motorcycles and could use some help getting it out there, I was psyched and ended up buying Jeff’s Evo “Worktruck”. Jeff had made a name for himself by taking FL Shovelheads, stripping them down and making them into hard tails. His bikes were utilitarian and had nothing on them that didn’t make it stop or go. They had a nimble ride quality. Jeff had always taken pictures and put his photography skills to use in the motorcycle industry and beyond using dramatic lighting and his artistic sensibility to capture moments in time. He has since been published in almost every motorcycle magazine, maintains a shop (Speedking) where continues to build one off customs and rides…a lot. Here is a sample of his incredible work.
